Comment on ChapterHow to Get My Husband on My Side - Chapter 125
Okay guys I don't forgive his actions and I understand Ruby did what she had to do in order to survive, but honestly Cesare was groomed and Ruby kind of enabled his behavior. He was never taught correctly what was right or wrong and didn't have the father or mother figure he needed, Cesare was missing love he needed as a child in his life and Ruby filled that void. She was his only source of happiness and it turned his behavior into am unhealthy obsession, he doesn't acknowledge the mental impact he has on her he thinks what he's doing is right and it's protecting her from the cruel world. Sure he's a horrible person and did horrible things, but is he really to blame? It's more so the father's fault, he never taught Cesare what was right or wrong he used him for his own benefit and manipulated him. Ruby being energetic and carefree just gives Cesare a sense of relief, and peace where he can finally rest yet he doesn't know what's actually going on. He also thinks Ruby likes him back too from the things she said in the past and how good her acting is, so yeah she did kind of mislead him and enabled his behavior further more. Not saying that what he did wasn't wrong of course.

@To Ya Bro, what? Ruby enabled him? Ruby had no idea and only loved him as her family. She never had familial love until him. And then she became scared and went into survival mode when she realized exactly what he's capable of and willing to do to her (with no explanation beyond "it's for us").

If you beat someone who has nowhere to escape, they are going to cater to your emotions and whims. It's not surprising, because you are literally beating them into submission.

Cesare wasn't taught how to love properly, but he grew up abused. He knows what it feels like. He knows how small it makes him feel. Ruby is correct when she confronted him. He's insecure and lashing out.

That's what it comes down to. He was beaten and broken down over and over. And he never escaped or overcame the abuse. He feels that Ruby is leaving him, so he tries to tear her down and isolate her. He obsesses over her because he believes they are the same.

He abused her like he was abused. Yes, he was taught that. But he also spread rumours that they were indecent with each other. He also decided that he was gonna murder a mass population as a distraction to kidnap her.

There comes a point where the history of abuse no longer makes it understandable. And abuse or not, he is a full grown adult. He knows the world beyond his house. There are no excuses. He is simply a lonely and insecure man. And he makes that Ruby's problem.

He needs to work on himself.
@To Ya Ruby had no fault in this, she only became the end of the fuse for both the father and Cesare
@sourlemons No I completely get what you're saying here, I didn't say she entirely enabled his behavior just kind of in a way and I get what you mean. This was also a month ago so my opinions have changed.
@Savory Yes I know I wasn't saying everything is her fault I just said in a bit of a way she enabled his behavior, this was a month ago opinions change and I understand that I was in the wrong.
@To Ya Well then, that's good. The reason why I responded to your comment was due to the frightening amount of likes on it.

When this kind of behavior is excused and framed as something to sympathized with, it leads to the most vurnerable type of people to remain in abusive relationships. They tell themselves that they aren't good enough or it's their fault, justifying being hit or yelled at. There's no reason to leave. They just need to be better.

When that's not true. They need to separate and probably go to therapy. Having a history of abuse is never an excuse to be abusive to others. It is surely reasonable, but not excusable.

These two characters weren't even in a relationship. It's very common for young girls to say that they'll marry their dad or brother. Or they just won't marry at all so that they can stay home. Caeser's reaction is out of the ordinary.

This may be fiction, but a lot of people are easily influenced by what they read. Especially young readers.
@To Ya calling her natural reactions that almost all young girls have towards their male family when not understanding the differences between romantic and familial and her instincts for survival enabling is fuc**** nuts 😭 he assumed they were on the same page and when he realized she never meant it the way he flipped out and took it out on her due to the resentment that built up.. he's an ass****
@Seth This was 4 months ago people change opinions/beliefs and stuff I know what I did wrong with that okay leave me alone
