I have seen men go super-hard at the gym for months, save up their money like crazy, buy a house, car, get a whole new wardrobe, take speech and social lessons from tutors and go to all of the churches they can find in order to locate a single woman who might want to date them.  During the date, they'll pay for everything and try their hardest to please the woman.

And she'll disqualify him from a 2nd date due to how he ate the noodles.

On the flip side, Chad will insult and deride women and he'll never be lonely.  Chad is 6' 4" and fit.  It's really the only quality that seems to matter.

I've seen lots of social experiments where women make male dating accounts and experience this phenomenon for themselves because they refuse to believe it's actually a thing until they experience it from the male perspective.
