@PurrpiTator she didn't say they can't draw water just that the process is too long so I guess the goats will drink the water instead....

@myisekiaadventures seeing as how the well was poisoned already and goats need about 3x the amount of water that humans need. Not including the amount needed to lactate; its mathematically improbable to call this a temporary fix unless they planned on systematically slaughtering the goats for meat to conserve water until the aqueduct is built while trucking in more goats on top.
Its just another "MC is 'supposed' to be smarter than the author, but fails," scenario and it irks me.
