@Ur lil pookie bear Kim Dokja, even tho he might seem 'happy and silly' all the time, is an unrealiable narrator, with a depressing and suicidal mindset. KDJ doesnt sacrifice himself only for the kimcom's happy ending but also bc he actuallty tried to commit when he was 15. (i love him so much oh my FUC**** G**). He wants to be happy, but he knows he cant because he is just a 'reader'. That also gets mentioned in chapter 516. Kim Dokja is REALLY unreliable, SO! he might think 24/7 that he isnt worth anything, should die, etc. This did not help when he met his mother.
Brief explanation abt his backstory qwq UWU 

Alcholist dad abused them. Kim Dokja killed him, and his mother took the blame. She wrote a book in prison, convincing the public that SHE did it and NOT her son. She wanted the profit of it to go the KDJ but his family took it all(his uncle and aunt who didnt give rats a** about him) so KDJ got bullied, beaten(look at that bas****, song minwoo or smth? early chapters) and eventually tried 2 commit.
