It's hard to explain yourself to someone who already thinks you'll do anything for money, so I like that Jaekyung paused for even a moment in response to a genuine reply from Doc feels good.
I like how another reader pointed out that he didn't immediately just humiliate Doc in front of the crew, and instead initiated a private conversation. I feel like that's a strong step forward in Jaekyung 's character growth.
@kb i really agree. I mean, from Jo's point of view Kim Dan meet the other Gym trainer, Jo has pictures. Kim Dan checked the spray and used It on Jo and It came out It was bad so After that fight about the gift...yes, Jo surprised me. I was aspecting a really sh** reaction but he tries his best, in private, ti talk and understand. He was sure pis*** as hello but he tries. Yes, he Is a fu**ing Red black flag but Hey, his attitude in that situation was One of a grown man and i liked It. I understand the feeling of Kim Dan but he needs to find courage and talk good and clear to Jo maybe that night Just After he meet that trainer. Thats It. We are waiting for potato, a child Indeed, very young and understandable so he needs time. Cross fingers I am not native speaking so i Hope It Is all clear 🥰
@kb exactly thats what i was thinking too. He even didn't smack Dan as expected from him....its just that habits are real hard to change and he can't just turn green overnight....but we can see some minute character development here
@Valevale89 Yes! Your point is absolutely clear, no worries! Doc definitely has challenges to overcome, because he's been on a position of being beat down, literally and figuratively, for a very long time. Which doesn't surprise me when he's in this particular arrangement. We see his growth starting when he understands that his growing romantic feelings have no place in the "contractual" relationship he has with Jaekyung, and with luck we'll see Jaekyung also grow to want and express his own romantic feelings so that they both can grow.
I really am interested in what the author has for Jaekyung's background to have hardened him the way he is. From the fight, it appears the opponent knew him from his childhood so I wonder what that could mean for his current personality. He always seems closed off to everyone.
@Jujustaysss I feel like some people expect big leaps in character growth, but I've really been enjoying this story. It's a slowburn! Just because there's NSFW content in it doesn't mean it's not still a slowburn romance.
