@ExplainingStuff maaayyyyybeeeee... the egg isn't the youngest prince?? No one knew of the eggs existence until this sketchy prince brought it to Kouichi as the bride test. So, perhaps it's a fake? Maybe this is all a set up to get Kouichi to fail. It's supposed to not hatch. But even of it does, they can say that the newly hatched "prince" doesn't have royal blood, so Kouichi must have switched out the eggs. Either way, Kouichi doesn't become the bride and his man can't ascend the throne..
