For those who don't get it, the Bird Prince hasn't been doing the neccessary preparations in order for his little brother/the egg to hatch. Because it seems that if the egg hatches, the baby bird will be the rightfully heir to the throne/to be king, which seems like the Prince ain't too happy about. So, my theory is that the Prince is just trying to hide How to hatch the egg, so he can be king.

@ExplainingStuff maaayyyyybeeeee... the egg isn't the youngest prince?? No one knew of the eggs existence until this sketchy prince brought it to Kouichi as the bride test. So, perhaps it's a fake? Maybe this is all a set up to get Kouichi to fail. It's supposed to not hatch. But even of it does, they can say that the newly hatched "prince" doesn't have royal blood, so Kouichi must have switched out the eggs. Either way, Kouichi doesn't become the bride and his man can't ascend the throne.. Just a guess.
