@Jyq this called character development, without this, this Manhwa would be sh**, this was the best character development episode in the entire series.

@Mihzvol Wuriar I wouldn't really call something giving you power instead of getting it yourself character development and I would say the character development with his brother is much better

@ShadowX her brother's death by a dark mage was the reason she joined the seekers, how is this not related to her?

@Mihzvol Wuriar I see what you mean I was talking about growth and you're talking about learning more about the character but that's a given really

@ShadowX growth as in power is not "character development," in this case, it was just result of it, a way to justify it, I think you would agree with me if she doubled her power just because she was insulted and beaten, it would've been stupid and bad writing.

But the reason for everything she's been through in the past decade or so is right in front of her, all the suffering, the hard work, the pain, how can she not power up now? 

That's what I call good writing.

@Mihzvol Wuriar Yeah that's what I'm saying she has had basically no character development even here all we are doing is learning more about her so not yet.

I agree her powering up is fine but I don't like how it comes from another source...

@ShadowX well, it's not like the Mc is getting stronger by himself, he just used an external source to power up, both just got stronger from different external sources, and both had a "background" for happening, not just plot armor.

I understand your point that powering up by effort is more interesting, but these two could be partly attributed to effort too, since both of their paths, that they choose long ago, led to this fateful moment, and all their effort will be put to test right now.

PS: In my haste to type, I typed "fartful" instead of fateful and I laughed for 10 minutes before getting myself together and finish the post...
