3)He announced that he was taking Tei, not the princess, only at a palace reception, in front of EVERYONE, not in private. He also pointed out that the union of Arnata and Leracal DEPENDED on this (see Chapter 10: The Web and the Butterfly).
He only announced that Tei was empress at the reception and again emphasized that Leracal's union with Arnata depended on his marriage with Tei. Thus, neither the king himself nor Tei could refuse.
(The day before, Shuraka was clearly afraid that Tei's feelings for him had changed, that Tei was now looking at him differently and that perhaps Shuraka was disgusting to him; and Shuraka had openly driven Tei into a position where he could not refuse)
4)In his confessions to Tei, he spoke of how Tei was the only one for him. But he chose not to mention the harem.
(maybe Shuraka was again afraid that Tei might refuse him after learning that Shuraka had enough women and men, and Tei had no need to be near him)
5)He ignores the harem issue and Tei's question about the night he spent with the concubine.
(maybe Shuraka is being tormented by fears again, or he considers it unimportant.)

Please, Shuraka's fans, don't hurt (or hit) me. I don't hate Shuraka!!!
Shuraka and Tei are both very stupid in their relationship right now. I like Shuraka, Tei, and the story!
I'm just enjoying reading and commenting.
