So instead of helping Violet, he hides again and focuses on escaping. He manages to sneak out of the Pellet Company, barely avoiding the Knights. Once outside, he thinks about where to go. He considers going to Lombardi but hesitates because it might put Tia in danger if this is all tied to treason. Before he can decide, a Knight spots him and starts chasing him.
