If she has a body of water just next to her house, why does she look so dirty? I get that there isn't any soap, but girl wash your clothes and jus look clean. If the water is cold then don't bathe at night, do it while the sun is up. There's no point in looking so dirty when everyone already treats you bad for your pungent body odor. The least you can do is try your best to be clean.

@Seekerislost it's the middle of winter and cold as all he**. She could get very sick and because of the "cursed witch" title no one would come help her

It's also a visual signal that she's smelly, we the reader can't smell through the screen, but her looking dirty makes us Believe she smells dirty too.
For all we know the curse could make her get dirtier faster, it's a magical curse after all...
