@Myself I don't see how etiquette is relevant here, they have their own jobs to do here, if anything, MC isn't doing his properly same for his goals and what must be done, he keeps on doing this over something that will cost him greatly, if anything... this is being unprofessional and acting too much on feelings which is literally what MC is doing here... It's displeasing to see those who make acts that will cost greatly because of them being way too influenced by their feelings AKA irrational actions and make bad decisions

@Hanssen Velèur not etiquette. Netiquette. With a N like in the Net, which is short for the Internet. Don't use all caps for no reason, as it's equivalent to yelling. Keep it cool and courteous. Express your opinions and feelings without trying to belittle others or force it upon others. That kind of things.
In this case, I believe you misread the situation. The MC chosen and stated purpose is to use his power protect his loved ones.
Sylvie told him Tess needed him to save her. There was no time to think. You may have read the next chapter by now and learned that his intervention was the best possible move. He used his body mana protection to lessen the blow, which she couldn't do any more.
Sure, stopping this important fight before finishing it is frustrating, including for the reader, but I feel like Art priorities are the right ones, in this case.
