In this case, I believe you misread the situation. The MC chosen and stated purpose is to use his power protect his loved ones.
Sylvie told him Tess needed him to save her. There was no time to think. You may have read the next chapter by now and learned that his intervention was the best possible move. He used his body mana protection to lessen the blow, which she couldn't do any more.
Sure, stopping this important fight before finishing it is frustrating, including for the reader, but I feel like Art priorities are the right ones, in this case.
"Express your opinions and feelings without trying to belittle others" I'm sorry but at what part did I do any of that? I don't remember doing it to anyone, or are you seriously saying this over a fictional character? it's not 'anyone' if it doesn't exist nor real, I didn't even mention any person nor any commenters here and here you are nitpicking me, AND FOR THE RECORD, never have I belittled nor insult anyone here or on any discussions within the first move unless they are the one who did it first, but never have I taken the initiatives on such behaviour unless provoked. At first, I thought what you said was "okay and just fine" but after seeing that certain line, then it's a different matter, you're accusing me of something that I never did, while doing so, with the stuff you're saying to me while accusing me of this, can also be interpreted by me and others as trying to act or show yourself as "superior"? now who's trying to belittle others here? I'm pretty sure others will, if not the same. have similar interpretations as mine.
and to add more, I've been cursed at or insulted by others over trivial matters, like favorites/bias of other people on character, or idols, or just because I was neutral and didn't support anyone, but I never returned any of their 'attitude' towards them when responding to those type of comments, in fact, I reply to them in a neutral or calm way as once the others see what they were attacking me for and my approach to them as non-offensive, others will also support me and those people who were attacking me over trivial matters eventually deleted their comments on how silly they looked and how they got ratio'd
of course, I type or can say stuff like the one on my OG comment because it's not like I'm attacking anyone, but if we're talking about actual 'People' here, then please, don't make assumptions of me
That was not an accusation but an ultra-short summary of what netiquette stands for. I suppose I should have been a bit more clear, but I felt like it was obvious enough at the time.
More than anything, I'm just sad to see how lost these rules of good manners have become since the popularization of the Internet started.
I don't judge, I probably have much, much heavier issues than yours, but you migh benefit from wondering why you invested so much in defending yourself, here. And, likely, many times in the past judging by your description of your previous experiences. Which was an argument of authority, by the way.
I'm lengthy myself, as you can see; I just hope it was a more useful comment to you.
hmmm, okay, I take it that I seem to have misunderstood, but I didn't just make that assumption out of your 'one' reply only, but 'made' it with 'two' of your replies, your 'explanation' and your previous reply "you need some training in netiquette" so I don't think it wasn't obvious... that can be misunderstood by others as you telling them (what I thought you were insinuating)
