@Lucy I, mistakenly, thought S took the drug to hold his libido until he reunited with Tei. It's a little odd to misinterpret adult affection towards a child as romantic love. At best S could expect platonic affection. S, as a royal, should understand the dynamics of an arranged political marriage. It's fine to be a little disappointed but his expectations should be measured. Tei would perceive his affection as nostalgic at best. The power dynamics alone makes Tei subservient. It's natural that Tei wouldn't believe this a love marriage or that S is obligated to be monogamous.
