@S 1 The trash will undergo character development. I am not defending Mathias, but love to him is like a baby trying to crawl. He doesn't know about it cause he has never seen anyone expressing it around him. He had no such influence. Kyle is obsessed with Layla. Layla doesn't love him; her plan was to be his friend forever but she fears to lose him and has to compromise. Layla just want to be with her uncle and live a simple life. So, Mathias' messed up love and Kyle's obsession are nooses around her neck. In this novel, the only people I pity is Layla and her uncle. They just want to live as a happy family, together. But two men are going to destroy that 🥹🥹🥹

@Ruuty Here’s a refined version with correct grammar and smoother phrasing:
I partly agree with you, especially about Layla and Uncle Ben—they deserve to be happy. However, Kyle is not obsessed with her; he’s simply in love with her, and it’s normal to want to be with the person you love. He didn’t force her to marry him, even though he insisted every day, but his intention was never to pressure her.
Mathias, on the other hand, is obsessed with her. Yes, he doesn’t know how to love, but that doesn’t excuse the actions he’s going to take later. Forcing her to kiss him was already disgusting enough—we can’t justify it by saying, “It’s all new to him.” He has a deep contempt for Layla.
I don’t hate him, but at this stage of the story, I despise him. I’m waiting to see his character development, which could easily be messed up.
