TJ and Ian want the same thing (each other), with different manner of getting there.
Ian has good points. It makes me sad to think that they missed a lot of their most transformative years as teenagers, where they would have learned to grow into the adult they would have been, instead running errands for the organization. TJ also has valid fears, because he mever got to grow into that adult he could have been, rather than a cog in the organization.
Ian has the benefit of having had something else, the bikes, but TJ?
