The unstoppable force of Linden's growing love for the reincarnated, more mature Elise versus the immovable object that is Elise's 10+ years of memories of hostile words, unrequited love, and then death at his hands. It's actually so bittersweet and I look forward to seeing them work through that.
I'm usually annoyed at this 'trying not to fall in love again with my killer' regression/isekai type of plot because they're usually written so lazily, but I'm glad this webtoon is taking its time with the development. Linden thinks in consideration of Elise and asks for advice, while Elise is focused on her goals. She's not unnecessarily punishing him for something he hasn't done in this timeline, but sheI wants clear boundaries because she doesn't want a repeat of the past.
It's easy to say "you'll change the future if you change yourself," but even in real life, it's not so simple as that. How many people have changed to get someone to love them, but still didn't get that love? Elise has no reason to think that he'll love her now because she has changed, considering how strong his dislike of her was.
