@Hebe 06 So she's never allowed to branch out? Never allowed to do what she wants after an entire lifetime of isolation ridicule and neglect for even *speaking*? She just has to stay a trembling flower forever??? I love Riftan and I dont doubt his love for Maxi at all, but he's still keeping her in a gilded cage. There's no way for her to learn and grow and be the person she was meant to be if he keeps treating her like a child who will shatter at the slightest breeze. Meeting Agnes, going to school, occasionallyactually trying his patience by living and making mistakes like a normal fuckijg human instead of a porcelain doll...all of it is objectively good for her.

@BlueBay yes I agree.. but that was my opinion.. like Agnes could have come up with some other solutions.. Also for maxi, I always wanted her to be a perfect match for Riftan by being confident and equally strong to carry out anything she wished to.. but the story is more like - Riftan saying maxi won't be able to travel for days on horse and it was difficult for even new knights.. but she kept insisting and leaving the estate behind, whereas in earlier chapters she wanted to learn all accounts and estate matters and help everyone. Also, Riftan wasn't on good terms with King because King always wanted Riftan to be dependent on him (just to subdue Riftan who was capable of running his own nation), but maxi, following Agnes, decided to stay back at palace, and ended up being captured by his own father and things happened.. Later Agnes in order to save maxi again came up with idea to send her away to magic school. Maxi wanted to learn magic, but Riftan was looking forward to spending more time with maxi as they already had so many hardships and separations. But Maxi kept insisting and finally went to attend school and never even tried to reconcile with Riftan (this trigger me as she was living her dream, which btw was all thanks to Riftan for always saving her from father and other dangers). It's my opinion though, but I felt Riftan was made miserable over and over..
