@Periwinkle If the hounds die because they need but don't have medicine and they can't bring supplies anymore, everyone else is in danger, including the kids. Your question shouldn't be "why didnt guwon give him medicine if he cares so much", the question should be "if he father loved his son so much why didn't he volunteer to go outside and bring more medicine"? The father is ok with risking his life to steal medicine from people who all need it but he's not ok with risking his life going out for it?

@critical thinking THIS!! In a post apocalyptic world harsh rules are to keep it from going to he** in a handbasket. Honestly it would be way more helpful to send the dad out to get more medicine or die trying and also help with guwon playing executioner but the hounds are the only people keeping the villagers alive so in order to keep everyone alive the hounds need to be alive which means emergency stuff is saved for them. Super simple. Dad should have become a hound to gather and then he could have gotten medicine in proxy of his son.
