Can someone explain the reasoning behind introducing one's Chinese name characters like that?
Is it equivalent to this example here ===> so if a person's name is TrueHeart Berry, the True draws from honesty and justice and the Heart comes from passion and love. (i dont have any context to chinese characters sorry)

Chinese characters have multiple meanings, based on the context its used. Some characters share one sound, so its to clarify what his name means exactly.
Minda similar to japanese characters also, which makes a lot of puns possible, especially with the characters in their names, or how they sound.
sorry if it doesnt make sense
its the same as koreans too. Its actually because theres words tht has similar pronounciation but are diffrent in terms of spelling in which differs the meaning.
( could be so the other party doesnt write their name wrong aswell ). atleast that is what I understand... pls correct me if im wrong.
