Sooo his parents up and left and haven't been seen since...She looks like a female version of him and is pretty educated for a commoner. Plot twist she actually is his little sister that her parents were sending back for him to look after and a shipwrek happend & she washed ashore with no memeories & being the only survivor....but that's just a theory

A mermaid saves a Lil boy..with time they become close friends..and one day.. the boy confesses his love to her, wants her to come with him...the mermaid shares the same feelings and asked him that in return for leaving her eternal ocean she wants his everything...wealth, dignity..etc...The boy agrees.
