That freckled kid must be really, really insecure. The seventh is the least favored of all the kids, and without nano he'd be a permanent failure as far as the clans' standards are concerned. He'd never have passed the first test. Yet this brat sends highly skilled assassins after the kid, and is willing to get himself in some level of trouble just to personally attack him. Since there's probably some rules about how badly you can attack another student outside of training. (With this bunch, probably a "if you make us have to pay attention to the bullying, you're in trouble" rule.)
