I mean I understand that it's not a fairytale n just a story but I just speaking Abt the wrongs idk think anyone would find it appropriate to look at some other women kiss them or pursue them while hving a fiance also i do know they r not in love but i dot the idea that layla looks like the other women or mistress n i know we hv bads n Good in us but we should always try to show the good cuz we expect that too , he was way too arrogant just cuz his hired n works for him doesn't mean he can treat her like a toy thing to play with that crazy, also Abt no being that much in love to confess but atleast could hv treat her right i don't think his previous behaviour was in any way alright even borderline harassment n sexual assault, I m saying things bc I hope nobody sees him as ideal

@Cenholi i expected these angst bc it's dark romance this ml really icked me off like other ml get better but this one does change I just hope they don't make layla into a mistress that all srry for the renting n i make alot of grammatical mistakes to srry

@Cenholi yeah we expected him to do the right thing but as his circumstances doesn't permit him to do hasty decisions like breaking up with his fiancé since the society and his family expects him to marry into the same nobility but hopefully he gets into it in the next few chapters. Oh and Layla wasn't being toy with, she was being pursued and chased not the way we wanted him to like flowers and dating since he can't do it publicly. He's doing what he can like a predator. He loves the chase, because Layla isn't naive and weak, she it the opposite. Layla maybe poor but proud living her life with dignity that's why she planned on running away, she planned to work somewhere else after returning the handkerchief. She doesn't want to be a a mistress. The duke knows how proud and stubborn Layla is, because if she was easy she could have been with the duke already after all the advances he showed her. That's makes him into her. She didn't get all over him because he is handsome and rich, a duke. She was raised by her uncle with dignity, she doesn't want to disgrace his uncle who adopted her. She was orphaned and was thankful for just living comfortably
