Spoiler!
She decides not to use the necklace herself and instead plans to give it to her father, even though he rarely gets sick. Later, Camilla remembers the necklace and examines it more closely. While holding it, she feels a strange warm sensation, and suddenly the stone cracks and breaks with a spark. She is confused and annoyed, thinking it might be poorly made, especially considering how valuable it is. However, she can’t ignore the strange feeling she experienced when it broke.

Before she can think more about it, a servant urgently calls her to meet a guest. To her surprise, it’s Jayner, the son of Duke Escra. He arrives claiming he was sent by his father to stay close to Camilla and protect her. Duke Sorfel, Camilla’s father, doesn’t like this situation but allows Jayner to stay as a guest.

When they are alone, Jayner drops his polite act and reveals his usual sly personality. He tells Camilla that her recent actions in Javenil caused quite a stir and that his father was worried about her safety. Camilla realizes this is why Jayner has been sent to stay with her. Jayner also mentions he has work in the area, which involves dealing with “bad people,” hinting at his role as leader of assassination guild. Camilla is uneasy but tells him not to get caught. Even though she finds him annoying and troublesome, she admits it’s better to have him around than risk more danger. The ceremony takes place in a large, neat garden behind the temple. The place feels calm and almost like a forest because of the many old trees. However, one tree stands out because it has no leaves and looks dead.
I like to post spoilers for the stories I find interesting because I don't have much time to read novel due to busy schedule you will find me in most romantic historical manhwa comment sections
