your thinking of a different type of familial situation this is how it was back in the days for royalty you had many kids and you did not care about them unless they proved themselves in a way you approve of theyd marry you off against your will
@Ronald Westbeal Nah, he only has 3 children lol, and MC was his first male child. As far as I see Murim world are monogamous and has a quiet a degree of gender equality. This guy knows his wife wants to kill his son but he's like "I won't interfere", says a lot about the person.
@Your Majesty you guys do know that he's an illegitimate child, and an mistake...lol, well I get all what you mean, but remember, he is just a maid's son that ho san got with while he was drunk. That's why they act like that with him.
@Unknown The father is acting like this with the other son as well. MC even mentioned how the "father" "cares" when you show potential but left to die if you are "trash", not about being illegitimate or not. He is a trash father like many other manga/manhua/manhwa fathers, it is a common trope to answer why MC is going through whatever scenario... it is a simple reasoning, as popular as "power of friendship and love".
