@gae_headache yeah, but at the same time this story isn't contemporary. It is set in times of kings, kingdoms, and jousting, and back in those medieval times they used to marry important people around 12-16 because most people didnt make it past 35 years old and they needed heirs in order to secure their place and keep the kingdom runing.

So if you had kids at 14 you could pray to have at least 15 years alive to see them grow if a bunch of plagues, war, sanitary issues, fever, appendicitis, etc, etc didnt kill you. Back then it was brutal...
@deleted user this comment is so helpful for this community sometimes readers just forget this important issue and they try to criticise it as some unethical behaviour but they don't want to accept the fact that it was historical data but not something imaginary or extraordinary
@Ulker Allahyarova i understand why that happened but i can still hate that it would happen, there is nothing wrong with i said
i know it isnt imaginary, this is something that really happened
which is why i still feel icky about it, back then children were seen as miniature adults who would mature only on a physical level, by 12 kids were considered fully adults. Our knowledge about human development has come very far but I can still feel sad for the little kids who had to go through this in the past and sometimes this happens now too... unfortunately... can't I feel bad about it?
It was a little kid who was used by adults, fortunately in our story she was treated nicely, which i'm happy about, when in reality this was probably very rare (i assume)

I know judging history with our modern eyes might not be fair but it's still inevitable, because we know better now, no?
@gae_headache
You have every right to feel bad about it, tho why are you arguing and complaining that people won't let you feel sad and have an opinion when they're just giving you their opinion? Or can't they point out the obvious?

Chill out, no one even gave you a dislike and yet you're tagging people offended just for having a different and logical view on this story.
If you want people to accept your opinion, start by accepting other people's opinions. Don't demand what you can't give.
@Pearl but i'm not arguing
i even said that i understand why it had to be that way ://

also the other comment said that people criticise and can't accept it as a reality
when it's precisely bc of it happening irl that it made me feel icky, that's the only reason i commented again

i'm sorry if i worded it in a way that seemed to be arguing or starting something
i was just explaining my thoughts
