@gae_headache yeah, but at the same time this story isn't contemporary. It is set in times of kings, kingdoms, and jousting, and back in those medieval times they used to marry important people around 12-16 because most people didnt make it past 35 years old and they needed heirs in order to secure their place and keep the kingdom runing. 

So if you had kids at 14 you could pray to have at least 15 years alive to see them grow if a bunch of plagues, war, sanitary issues, fever, appendicitis, etc, etc didnt kill you. Back then it was brutal...

@deleted user this comment is so helpful for this community sometimes readers just forget this important issue and they try to criticise it as some unethical behaviour but they don't want to accept the fact that it was historical data but not something imaginary or extraordinary
