Comment on ChapterPayback - Chapter 56
Okay, here are my thoughts. It's an alright manhwa. The art is really good which makes a lot of things forgivable and the concept is quite interesting too. But:

The top is a major red flag, though I think we all already know that pretty well. If I was taking this manhwa seriously, which I am not, I'd talk about sexual abuse and sh**, but whatever, let's say I'm colourblind.

But, what annoys me the most is the MC. At first, I really liked him, he was witty, quite smart, very determined and didn't take bullshit from anyone. He was also strong. And that's what I have a problem about. He was supposed to be this really da** strong guy who has done boxing for 5 years and can beat anyone up, and you're telling me that he seriously can't push away a guy who sits behind his desk all day? That's bullshit. They just needed a reason for them to start making out. And alright, sure, make out if you want. But there are a thousand better ways to initiate it.

I dunno, maybe it's just this relationship dynamic that's so off-putting for me. Cuz it started with a tough, witty bottom and a conceited but charming top and rn it's a weak-a** annoying bottom and a top who forces himself on him.

Also, somebody please fix the translation pepe sticker
A little bondage never killed nobody~

You're gay

My toxic trait is I start toxic-looking manhwas and then I'm mad when they are toxic

someone is uploading the official translations somewhere.... bad translation and body language, jay appears to be a red flag, but he isn't. He also isn't green... maybe yellow....?
Plenty of real red flag characters.

MC was a biker and a loan shark collector... one of the jobs he took on was as a sparing partner for boxers, no training, just was a human punching bag that happened to pick up a few things over 5 years. He can hold his own in a fight, but he was never a fighter.
jay- freakishly strong. We are given a misleading image of him, he is in the middle of something that requires a lot of deskwork right now, I don't want to spoil things so I'll leave it there.
I think of them both as retired gangsters, mc used a knife while jay a fist.

jay is definitely persistent, foreword, domineering, possessive... but, the antagonistic relationship they have is consensual... jay is just sudden and intense and mc is perpetually confused as to what got jay going for the sudden attack of affection... but overall not apposed
I swear, with a better translation, jay is not bad. There is so much of this story left to go

@Seth  you should read the novel

if you read the book, you will know that the mc is like that because he wants to atone for his sins. In the novel there is a part where he doesn't buy branded clothes or things and only donates his money. The seme here is really a red flag but uke prefers being hurt rather than being happy because he is punishing himself. It's also in the novel that he doesn't want seme to take care of him or help him, so seme should treat him that way because that's what he wants too.
@TearDropsLovingOn I read the novel too and still can't decide if he's red flag but he tried to change himself a little but he's still crazy..sorry not English don't know how to explain myself right
