@Ripvanwinkle111 Don't high ur judgement just cause Roman trained his soldiers and made them powerful. Even if they had trained them as mercenaries and send them in other countries nothing would have changed by much, in fact most of them would have died even before climbing to C rank. U really said they should have sold their people as slaves showing they don't even have morals as humans, and even if they did that then Roman would still have waged a war against them anyways. And if they did sell their people then the prince wasn't protecting his people, the character of the prince who looks after his people and connection the readers get form him would change completely, he would be treated as a scum not fit for ruling but a greedy merchant who doesn't have a right of being called a human. It was only a matter of time. Starting a war doesn't have anything to do with pride, it was bcz the countries surrounding them were not in friendly terms and if they didn't wage war then after the bank takes their country as collateral they would increase the tax, rob more of them and then they would later become slaves for the strong country.
Ask for recommendations and give recommendations like the type of manhwa/manhua/manga I'm currently reading

@PORTOGAS D ASCE Roman bought slaves, so somebody is selling,
serfs : a servant or laborer of olden times who was treated as part of the land worked on and went along with the land if it was sold.
Serfs were property, don't use your modern morality here.

Neighboring countries are "unfriendly" is not sufficient reason to start a war.

So declaring war and killing other people is protecting them from taxes, theft and slavery?
You said it yourself, "they(the banks) would increase the tax, rob more of them and then they would later become slaves for the strong country."
Better "other" people die than your own people.
