@Miroh oh thanks it had been a while since I read it and I can vaguely recall what happened
Spoiler!
Still dont justify his action locking her out of her will though. He couldve just say, use Kyle to ensure her safety but no he decided to jail her himself. Plus, her mental health and health in general are deteriorating under his care, and choices on whether he should safe his wife or baby (we all knew both of them are alive even after consuming the med but it is pure luck since med was stated to be highly risky to be consumed by mother to be) would never even be there if he didnt do what he did. Locking her up because its unsafe since the area is an active warzone seems like a possesive measure he is taking. Plus, he knew Kyle was there too and he tried to make Kyle stay away from her despite knowing he is the only place where Leyla can feel at ease.

in my eyes he was just desperate for her since she never showed him the love he begged for. obviously kyle was in the warzone to treat the wounded soldiers and that would be a distraction (he becomes a doctor). tho matthias did let them meet but her extra love for kyle was annoying. imagine your lover moaning someone else's name when you're having s**. that was one of the most annoying scenes in the novel and i absolutely hat Layla for that. so i don't think layla herself was a greenflag and we really shouldn't hand her the clean chit.
