@simple simp listen i think you didnt got it right in tom and jerry it doesnt ship the cat and the mouse and the cat doesnt beat the mouse because he say no the only reason tom is even running after jerry is that he wont disappoint his owner and that his owner wont throw him out

@Artpop   i think you don't understand the example. the EXAMPLE wasn't for romance but the part of COMEDY. next thing you could clearly see in the drawing style, when it is a comedy and not serious! plus the cat doesn't even "beat up" tom like how tain does. THE CAT IS TRYING KILL THE MOUSE! but we think that as a comedy cus it IS.  plus i don't care about the history of tom and jerry it was just an example that beating up can be sometimes taken as comedy in NON-FICTION STORY. but i do not support toxic relationships in REAL LIFE.
