@molly cavenaile Indeed traumas have little to do with how they usually "function". ofc a sociopath/psychpath might also get traumas but once again normal ppl do get traumas as well. Traumas never ever excuse crimes.

@Ryip Hi 👋🏽 I wasn't saying that crimes committed by those who've experienced trauma are justified at all, but it can help people to know why they would do such things. I'm just saying that being mistreated could never make a real psychopath. Psychopaths are born not made. So in the Prince's case, his behaviour isn't anyone's fault (except maybe the author's lol). Also, you're right that not most kids who've been mistreated become sociopaths, but experiencing severe abuse or trauma can cause changes in their brain e.g. multiple personalities. Some sociopaths become sociopaths because when their in their most formative time in early childhood they witness or experience a gruesome act that leaves an impression on their development. Also, not all sociopaths or psychopaths become criminals, some go their whole lives functioning as contributing members of society. 😅
