the keyword is not now, it isn't never. If you let the shame overcome you, she's going to feel bad and you will likely drift apart (though this will be for a while). If you need to, talk it out with her (let her know you want to stay friends and while you will need time to cool your feelings for her, you treasure your friendship more)

Think about it from her shoes, you've been harboring these feelings for a while, she's just learned about this. Give her time to process (it's actually a bonus if you recognize this when speaking with her)

@Last braincell don't even be, you have to have so much courage to even make the first step and even more courage when the other person rejects you, take your time to grieve over your feelings but bounce back because so many people can't even take the first step, be confident within yourself after this ok
