@Dalion Heart If you met a person in school who looks like your favourite character from manga, wouldn't you be curious at least? It doesn't hurt you to try to make friends with them, and if it doesn't work, you just move on.
In real life you can befriend people from the smalest reasons, like sitting together or both being lost on a school trip. Why his reason is any worse?
If I met someone in real life that looked like Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, I would think "huh, that's cool" and move on with my life. My first thought would not be to approach them and try to befriend them, or even to talk to them. I just don't care enough about all of that go out of my way to befriend a complete stranger based entirely on how closely they resemble a character they themselves likely don't even know about from a Manga. It's just really weird. If someone came up to me and told me I looked like some female from some fiction they liked and asked me to be their friend, I would be far more inclined to believe they had alterior motives, or at the very least was deeply weird and should be avoided.
@Basil Right, so you're the deeply weird one with the alterior motives. Otherwise, why act so called out? Lol I can make friends just fine. Got plenty of them both online and IRL. None of them I became friends with, because I thought they looked like some anime/game character. I may be kind of an introvert, but I'm not a creepy loser.
@Dalion Heart you can make friends with whomever you want, the point is if you take interest in someone you should talk to them instead of lurking like a creep. "Deeply weird with altering motives" be so fr, I'm just calling it how I see it. Enough of you trying to put rules on how someone makes friends with others bc it just makes you look weird
@Basil At no point did I ever tell someone what they could or could not do. What I DID do is say just how creepy it objectively is to suddenly try to strike up conversation and a friendship with someone you just met, because they look like some anime girl. Moreso if the person you're talking to, is a male. By all means, be cringe if you want to, don't expect a friendship to come of it.
