I saw spoilers on the recent chapter (the novel updates sorta daily hence spoiler page is active) u asked if he loved her. And I said no or he got used to her. I read the further spoilers. After she dies (some speculate it was another person's body so her mother played a part or fl had a plan) he doesnt eat or drink he loathes the twins the half siblings of fl. He even imagines himself with fl and them having a daughter with blue eyes. He is in a very in denial stage. He even strangles Gareth when he reminds ml that fl has died and that he will not divorce her as if she were still alive. Idk what made him love her but I think he has loved her but hard to know since when. He even further back attacked a priest that accused fl of being a heretic. Ml half brother even says at least u married the woman u wanted. Ml just doesn't say anything but glares at him
