@Anonym If the young lady's retelling of events is true, she was the 'payment' to secure the mercenaries. No matter how promiscuous the mercenray leader is the real scumbags are the parents who treated their daughter like trade goods in the first place.

@Mnemos Logos Unfortunately, it's somewhat realistic for it to happen... they are just a baron house, not very high ranking after all. They are in a situation that they could be wiped out... to keep their power, they sold off their daughter. Noble daughters are usually used like this... what's not normal is the fact that she is the sole heir though... parents would probably be a bit more cautious about it.
