That's the gimmick author chose to enable his lame storytelling skills to write some "original" sh**. There's no way in he** people skilled in anything would mistreat their tools provider, especially if they're really skilled too.
These days it's like "" authors "" need to come up with the most absurd situations to write anything even a little bit original.
Although it isn't so bad, it can serve as cautionary tales.
@TotallyAbsurd I mean, this isn't even all that original? It's actually fairly common for the protagonist to get insulted by a cute girl then save them a little bit down the line in order to add them to their harem.
@masayuki Are you serious? It's so common these days. What isn't common is make the girl fall in love with the mc after that.
