@manhwa.addict  Oh dear, I think you’re misreading the situation entirely. TJ has never been driven by greed for power or money. His only reason for staying in the organization is to protect Ian. If he knew Ian would remain safe after he left, he would give it all up without hesitation.

The funeral scene proves this TJ didn’t chain Ian to him, he let him go. He gave Ian freedom. But Ian chose to come back. That wasn’t TJ forcing him, that was Ian’s own decision.

To say TJ “wants it all” ignores the truth: the gang, the money, the power_ none of that means anything to him without Ian. He endures it only to shield the person he loves most. Calling that selfishness misses the complexity of his sacrifice.

I honestly wish more people would read this with an open mind instead of reducing TJ to someone who only cares about control 🙄😒
@I hate love triangle I'm not trying to make him out to be controlling, or make him out to be a bad person. Actually, I like him as a character.

But he does want money, and he likes the power. It started off with just getting by and keeping each other safe, but it quickly became more than that for him. He says it in one of the many flashbacks. He doesn't want to give up what he's worked for, and there's nothing wrong with that.

And did I say he was trying to chain Ian? I don't think I said that. I didn't say that anywhere in my comment.

He was dating and even potentially marrying a woman to stay in the gang and to keep up an image. He hung around with women to show that he was straight. Being gay in a gang gets you treated like Ian. If he showed it, he'd lose the respect and power he's worked so hard to gain.

He's not doing all of this for Ian. Yes, Ian is and definitely was his motivation, but to say he only does it for him is just wrong.

You'v deeply misunderstood and assumed things about my comment. Never did I say he was selfish, or that he didn't sacrifice, i'm saying he will not give up what he's worked for. Ian and TJ have different goals in life, and that's been the point of contention in the entire story.
@manhwa.addict I agree with you. That is a logical opinion. In relationships once the betrayal starts the relationship won't work anymore n when they have chose different path means they separated. Or else in the future they change their mind n want to be together again.
@manhwa.addict Ah, I see what you mean now, and thank you for clarifying. I didn’t mean to come across as harsh or to put words in your mouth. I actually agree with you on a lot of points especially that Ian and TJ ultimately have very different goals in life.

Where I see things a bit differently is that, to me, TJ’s attachment to the gang and the power isn’t just about ambition it’s also about survival and protecting Ian in his own way. I still believe that if Ian’s safety were guaranteed, TJ would walk away, even if it meant letting go of everything he’s built.
