@BL addict dear, it's okay. i promise that 90% of people don't care how you look when you are trying to make friends/talk to them, and the ones that do wouldn't be good friends anyway. I really recommend joining a club for something you are interested in and making friends that way! You'll have a built in common interest that will make starting a conversation super easy. you can do this at any stage of life, too--if you are in middle/high school, there are plenty of activities and after-school clubs, if you're in college, check your school's student org directory, and as an adult (or anything younger), you can join a fitness class (varying levels of ability), join a book club, find a D&D group, or take a class at the local community center. At the end of the day though, it's up to you to put yourself out there. you can do it!
