Comment on ChapterI Will Surrender the Position as Empress - Chapter 65
Suicide, no.  Just no.  That doesn't fit her character in the slightest.  Losing everything, which she in no way had, wouldn't make her commit suicide.  Wouldn't even cross her mind.  She's been going through way worse things, and now she gets a fresh start.  It feels so out of place with her in every way.  The empress is a fighter and a hero inside and out, should have shown shattering those poison bottles.
Read Cursed Princess Club, it's finished and fantastic.

@Mistress Maya yes it does fit her. She's way too priceful at some point. And I'd make a choice like that too instead of losing face.

@Mistress Maya There is no type for suicide and murder or any other crime for that matter.. it's about desperation. How desperate is a person? How many options are they seeing currently.. these are the questions.
@XMLrm it wasn't pride that was driving that decision. It was loss of purpose. She had lived for her duty and when that duty was taken she save a live void of purpose. Without purpose there is no hope. A good example of this was the battle of Britain. Soldiers hospitalized in asylums for shell shock and battle fatigue(now known as PTSD) voluntarily left the asylums and started working as ambulance drivers, firefighters, and rescue crews. Not saying they were magically cured, but up to that point many were bedridden or had chosen isolation. The German attack gave them something years of treatment had ignored. It gave them a mission with a sense of purpose. That is what people need to survive. People need a purpose. Look at people suffering from depression and ask them what their purpose is and most will either not have an answer or will have one that is not clear. Ask a happy person and they will have an answer generally.
@Mistress Maya it makes sense. Her whole life has been dedicated to others and service, repaid with only hardship and betrayal.
Her mother drove her away for her brother, the person who's empire she  dedicates her service to abuses, sexually assaults and conspires against her. She's reached the point of exhaustion.
She is completely alone, and has no home to return to, she no longer has a purpose and the burden (it's  theirs anyway) can now be taken up by others.
She no longer believes she has a reason to stay alive.
The one thing that cannot be taken  and she will not let them have is her pride.

Rather than become an object of pity and be buffeted around at the whims of others, she wants to end it on her own terms.
