@astbroah okay you use the word could right but he didn't he defended himself as we all saw so their statement actually was correct, he is a grown man and can indeed take care of himself. So by also taking care of himself means separating himself from the cause of the pain which is that black hair dude. And he had found something new, even discovered a whole new type of relationship with another person that wasn't the person that has caused him pain throughout all of these years.
That has let him open up and be himself and not have to worry about negative things.
@Montii I see what you're saying, and I agree that defending himself shows he's strong and capable of taking care of himself. It’s clear that separating from the source of pain, in this case, the black-haired person, is a form of self-care, especially if staying in that relationship continues to hurt him. And I think it’s amazing that he found someone who allows him to be himself and brings him peace.
that said, I also think it’s important to remember that relationships, especially long-term ones, are complicated. Healing doesn’t always happen overnight, and while it might seem like a fresh start with someone new is the best solution, there’s also a lot of room for growth in a person’s journey—whether that's through a new relationship or possibly reconciling with the past if it’s done in a healthy way? but both is still fuc*** accept that!!!
