And totaly agree with you i just don't feel like it should apply to this case, because i don't feel like he's running away from reality, at least for now.
Like the relationship between them and the parentality are two different things Chase could be a sweet lover without being a good father. So I see it has mc's enjoying his time with a lover he don't want to involve his kid with.
