Comment on ChapterBe the Actor - Chapter 137
Im gonna be soo blunt when i say this but... they never had a romantic chemistry it was more like a sibling love if anything so them all of a sudden well more like him.. all of a sudden realizing he has romantic feelings for her out of no where is kinda odd... i mean dont get me wrong its cute when you think about oh they were in the same film when they were children and have been friends since and developed a crush on eachother throughout the years but... it was only her who had those feelings mc was focusing on his mom and his career.. idk i mean the story is still soo good but the sudden romance just threw me off a lil....

@Ian2anean.Unfiltered agreed agreed.... BUT then again being there at his darkest time is quite romantic. And back again to tho tbh i rather if they acted like siblings with how lil screentime they got

...I agree but it isn't like you have to marry someone just because you agree to start dating.

It's all so much more serious than it needs to be because
1) they are famous and the public thinks they can demand to know their personal business

2) she is Korean and I have noticed that writers and Korean drama producers like to pretend that a Korean FL will only date to find true love/get married and that their Korean women are good girls who don't sleep around causally, but if the ML needs to he can sleep with the American women that suddenly appears and

3) Yes he took his time to get here but they have know each other since they were kids so sometimes it is really scary to risk a importantfriendship for that long to date because it might not work out and then it's a coin flip if they remain friends.

Dating to see if there are deeper feelings should be natural.

@TOTCF I would disagree in many things, including the 'he took his time'
He literally never showed any kind of romantic feeling for the station to the hospital. Only now in the end they forced the 'she is going away and i miss her' when he literally mever missed her before even when she was even farther away.
The problem is not the 'dating is not marriage'
The problem is 'why the f he is wanting to date her NOW when he literally never wanted before now showd any sign of it.'
Also, the 'korean girl troope you used didnt seem to apply to the older actresses or even the other female friends, just this one specific.
Heck, the mother had a better romance arc than the MC.
@TOTCF I can see where you are trying to come from but it doesn't apply here.. he never showed interest in dating her from the get go although the author had the full set up for them to build a relationship in a romantic sense the author didn't until now which is completely out of no where... readers are understandably blindsided by it due to him never showing romantic interest in her at all. In way was she portrayed as a good girl in the story.. a good friend.. yes but a good girl in the sense of how you mean it. No. The romance seems forced and rushed like of course we wanted to see him have some romance eventually after seeing his mom get a happy ending but not forced like how it's happening now ya know.
@Ian2anean.Unfiltered you are trying to defend something without any kind of actual evidence.  And failing at it. You say 'author full set to build up' but that was exactly the problem. IT WASNT BUILD UP. The mother romance was build up. This one wasnt. And your 'good girl' argument just seem even more weak and without any base when you can, again, apply that to other 'good girls' like even the now step sister and she is not paired with anyone.
This 'we wanted to see him have romance' is the biggest misconsection here, specially when you spend literally THE WHOLE STORY WITHOUT A SINGLE ROMANCE.
@Ianes Grécia I wrote the original comment and you and totcf are replying to my comment... clearly you didn't read either comment (the original nor the comment prior to this) because you would know not once did I defend the author throwing this romance at readers out of no where and yes the author did have the material to set up a romance between the 2 like the fact they worked together as kids and grew up continuing their friendship so yes author had the material to make a romance blossom between the 2 but did not use said material. I never said she was a good girl either... I replied to totcf and said that she was never portrayed to be a good girl in the sense as (totcf) was referring to... not once did I ever say we wanted this rushed cr**... I've been against it since she decided she wanted to confess her feelings out of no where and then he suddenly start missing her.. as if he ever really thought about the girl fr...if it was going to be romance involved in the story the author should have used the material aka them acting together as kids and continuing their friendship as adults as the fuel to light a fire and then slowly set the story from there.. so idk wtf you're talking about in. Your comment to me.. calm down.
