Tei said in the narration that he regretted stepping out of line which is a BIG big deal. And it lead me to believe that, 1. They were caught and embarrassed by one of the staff, most likely that (red headed knight) and it spread to the whole kingdom thus ruining their reputation (mostly tei's status in the north), or  2. The ordeal amplified shuraka's feelings, which in return burdened tei's character (knowing he's a very reputable man and is constantly busy ofc he's gonna feel suffocated because their marriage is a duty for him.), and atp when know how bl manhwas go. Ofcourse there's misunderstandings, miscommunication, angst ETC. what's a happy ending without pain anyway.
Hiii pookies ❤️❤️❤️🐚 luv y'all

@Gatsby ummm I don't think our MC is suffocated with the marriage...I think his thoughts are now that Sharuka is an emperor he will be in need to find a real bride of his age and our MC is trying to come terms with it !!! He is just suffering by overthinking and duty!!! And offcourse our Sharuka calling him beloved doesn't clear anything as Sharuka has been calling him beloved from the day they met and our MC thinks it's because Sharuka also took this marriage as a duty.....

Last but not the least I never wanted to get Married but now I want a boyfriend who will me beloved!!!!! Cause it feels so loved trollface sticker

Hmm, I don't think they can humiliate them. Shuraka is literally a king, and Tei's kingdom (I forgot the name) needs his favor...I don't see people going around spreading rumors, let alone humiliating them, given how Shuraka has already publicly shown that Tei remains his bride. (Besides, the red-haired guard seems to care about Tei, so I can't imagine him going and spreading rumors that could harm him, given the humiliation he already sufferered after his return)
I think he said that just because he didn't resist Shuraka, yet, as the king had ordered, he should have kept his distance from Shuraka so that he can marry the princess... Or at least Tei still feels responsible and wants Shuraka to marry a woman since it's more "normal"...like
