bc Tj is not manipulating into keeping Ian by his side, ironically Jo is. TJ gave Ian the minimum sentence bc he knew Ian wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't. The breaking leg incident isn't clear yet but we know its bc if Ians drug abuse. Tj actually gives Ian space, and is only "stalking" him to make sure he is safe due to him being an ex gang member/ hard drugs addict. Jo on the other hand does not like Ian seeing other ppl and is act invasive to Ians life. + he doesn't stop or slow down when asked, and keeps going after Ian passes out. Ian feels like he cant leave Tj bc he loves him, but wants to bc he thinks everyone he loves ends up hurt. Tjs face scar was semi caused by Ian, so seeing his scar reminds him of that.
