Spoiler text.Joshua told Chase about Pete at the end of the novel and don't worry it was after their relationship was stable and most of the misunderstandings were cleared up. It was actually pretty emotional and cute situation when Chase found out that Pete was his child too. Joshua offered Chase that he would take Chase to see his son and Chase agreed to see Joshua's son and wanted to get along with him. They spent the whole day together at the amusement park and it was really cute and fluffy. But then an accident happens and Pete was in danger and Chase had to save him by overcoming his fear of dogs. At last, he overcame his fear and saved Pete and that's when Joshua told him that Pete is both of their son.
