In the last few months I have realised one thing .. to stop parenting your parents and it has somehow given me some peace.. I'm grateful and I respect all those things they have done for me and I recognise the sacrifices they have done for me. But still I'm going to stick to my own happiness and choose myself. Yes that does disappoint my mom in some ways when I'm not "what the society expects" from an Indian women. But she has also come in terms with the fact that her disappointment doesn't affect me anymore.
