You know your talking to Asians right? I'm not being racist here but, there's always a romance. No matter where you look in the east. It's like rule that there must be romance

@inari saku we're not being toxic we're just being factual. Usually when a love interest is involved then the MC of such stories start taking dumb asf actions and many times because of the love interest the MC's decison making would be affected

Now I'm not saying being a relationship with a girl is bad, but what we hate I when authors change certain things (which happen to be the same set of things Every single time) once the MC has a love Interest

@inari saku Also there's the issue that the love interests that are usually given to MC's most times don't feel like people, rather they feel like they're just a trope addition or fanservice(and an overly repeated one at that) and nothing more which is another reason why it's hard to feel good when a love Interest comes into the scene

Btw, I've read stories where the love interest appearing was fun and nice and I loved the romance aspect but that's because those authors actually wrote the love interests properly and didn't make them "just a trope point" or "a fanservice doll"
