@Olly wait is this the main catalyst, or do more things happen? if she wasn't such an obnoxiously hypocritical preacher I'd feel bad for her l, esp since she didn't know what the temple was up to. but since she's done nothing but act all high and mighty since being Crown princess, she deserves a rude awakening.

@kali  This is a big plot point but the main storyline in my opinion is the relationship between the two main characters. Kael is going to have to make a big decision that will make or break
Spoiler!
his relationship with Hestia....

whether or not he will help get the princess deposed, but he decides to not have her deposed only because Helios begs him not to and to stop the ruling elite who were pushing really hard to depose her. They were literally at the palace gates asking for her to be deposed.

Because of his decision his relationship with the Hestia takes a dive. Hestia tries to kill herself and Kael stops her and decides to leave the capital with her to focus on their relationship.
@kali
Sorry I misunderstood your question this one will answer your questions
Spoiler!
About the princess, this wasn't the main reason it's how rigid she is.

Like you said she thinks she's right alllll of the time. She won't admit she's wrong except when under EXTREME duress, her refusing to accept any wrong doing but the main reason is because....

she later refuses to have any kids with Helios which he needs to continue on his line since he has no siblings. They try to keep the relationship going but it keeps coming back to kids; they decided to amicably divorce.
