I might be a little harsh on this one^^ It's not that bad, but it's already the 4th one this week that pis*** me off because of pseudo-philosophical nonsense plotholes! :P
I agree that it's easier to explain a world and plot bit by bit, but I'm not even criticizing that amateur STYLE but the SKILL. no matter whether you do this or you dive right into the deep end, it still both requires that there is an actual "depth". But in the end it's always just an illusion of depth with webtoons/novels, like putting a '5m depth' sign on a kiddie pool :P
They always just take philosophical ideas from all kinds of different directions (actually good books, movies, religion, etc) that they obviously didn't take the time needed to even get a basic understanding and try to patch sth together that sounds cool but makes no sense at all.
I swear the next time I see a MC say the Buddhist concept "Form is emptiness, and emptiness is form" just because they want to draw a cool yin and yang "Taoist" attack, I#m gonna print it out just to burn it xD
